Live Oak Assisted Living Facility is a space where patients receive care, treatment, and companionship in a facility that prioritizes making residence feel at home. This facility will
offer necessary treatment and encourage habitant’s independence and socializing. The functional needs of the staffers and residence housing needs will both be considered.

 

Socialization of the residence will be encouraged by promoting social environments, both private and semi-private, by employing groups of seating and promoting interaction with the outdoors. The outdoor spaces will be a large focus of this project and will include spaces such as, sun room seating area, courtyard, and gardening area where residence can invest their time.

 

These goals will be achieved by providing a transitional feel to the space by employing modern and traditional styles. The idea of Live Oak will be a driving concept that promotes interacting with nature and organic interior elements such as a color pallet influenced by the outdoors and
natural materials like slate and wood.
